Product is great - shipping and customer service needs polishing
Ordered 2 pairs just after Xmas, was shipped and “delivered” December 31st by DHL. The best I can figure based on what happened after that, DHL gave the package to a Turtle at the YVR airport and said “hey, you see that warehouse across the tarmac? That’s Canada Post, they are expecting you”
20 days later, I got my package. What actually happened? Well I paid $67 in duty on the 2nd of January, which by all accounts is incredible considering duty on cotton from China is 18%, so however they shipped these they declared them as being worth $350+. I have worked in the apparel industry for 20 years wholesale and production, NEVER have I seen a duty charge like that on 2 pairs of pants.
Anyways I let it slide as I was busy but then I got an email asking for a review of the pants on the 11th of January, at which time I pointed out nothing had arrived and I wasn’t pleased.
Their customer service was happy to point out that “good news! They have been delivered so you should have your pants” yeah, no.
After our exchange they blamed Canada Post, so I called my Rep at Canada post and he was easily able to determine that no package was ever transferred to them.
So sent the information to Katy HO at Blacktailor, she continued deflect and said “DHL will be in contact and you have not responded to them” haha 🤷♂️. Amazing
Anyways, I called DHL, gave them the info and read them the riot act and 2 days later, my pants arrived. My rep called me laughing that DHL explains that Blacktailor…
